Veteransnet
Veteransnet is passionate about supporting our defence community and veterans organisations who are not goverment funded (Conditoins Apply).
The Spirit of Anzac is;
standing together, working together as one, as it is the only way we can move forward.
For veterans & supporters, by veterans
Veteransnet is veteran’s owned, run by veterans on a volunteer basis and it has been setup specifically to help veteran’s organisation and their local community who do not receive government funding.
How this all works
We have been able to implement these fundraising benefit back to the defence community and the local community based on our background and expertise in communications, accounting, direct involvement with the corporate sector and keeping our overheads low. All our support team are volunteers and veterans.
On this basis it allows Veteransnet to support and work closely with Veterans and those Organisations who support the defence community as well assisting in preserving Anzac Day for the dignity of all those who have served and are serving. Because we will remember them, Past & Present "lest we forget".
Fundraising Services
Veteransnet's will be seeking many add-on services, so Veterans Organisations and those ADF Personnel, Veterans and Veterans supporters who take up those services benefit from any profits (surplus funds) obtained.
This is a simple but effective way to further help our defence community.
Our main focus is NBN and Virtual PBX system. Our Management Team have a strong back ground in communications and have personally been involved with the Internet since its conception and introduction to the public via the World Wide Web. They have seen this advanced technology accelerate from a simple dial-up service to ADSL to NBN and VoIP virtual phone systems. This extensive experience and expertise also enables us to identify who is responsible for any outages or on-site problems relating to NBN.
Included in our Team are two "old fellas" (though young at heart) who were there in the embryonic stages of electronic data storage and transmitting data over dialup phone lines in 1969. At this time, the ADF (RAAF) were using electronic data processing systems to transmit highly confidential documents and messages onto paper tapes and then transmitting that data over the phone through a special communications device (the Friden auxiliary paper tape reader). This technology eventually evolved into dial-up service that used modems to encode and decode between audio signals into data, so that you could then use your computer to send and receive emails or just browse the web.
Keeping it simple
The site is all about making life easier for Veterans, Veterans Supporters and those organisations who need funds to help and support our Veterans. This site provides many efficient hyperlinks to other websites that are of benefit to those Users, in order so to save them time searching for information.
The site also gives those Users access to our backend accounting system to allow them to review their yearly and monthly statements, track monthly Dividends and Bonuses and provides the ability to printout those details. The system also automatically generates monthly email notification of funds gained by each orgainstiaons that supports our veterans.
The website is still a work in progress with long-term goals to further assist all ADF Personnel, Reserves, Veterans and their families. It is open for scrutiny as Veteransnet needs to ensure it is not in breach of any legal obligations, as the site has been setup in good faith to help our Veterans and those that support our Veterans. We welcome and invite anyone who wishes to provide constructive suggestions to help and further improve and protect the site.
